Commissions Commissions can take many forms! It's a wonderful opportunity to have a unique and personal work.Commisions are a collaborative process between James and the commisioner. Commissioning your artwork... The first step would be to browse through my site and find examples of work you like. When you find something, email me with titles and descriptions. I like to know where the painting will most likely hang and, for oversize works, a small jpeg image of the room is very useful. If you're comfortable, a little personal information about your family helps me to reference those things in the work. Premium, archival materials: All canvas paintings are highest quality Utrecht acrylic, on gesso'd 10 oz. 100% cotton canvas. Canvas is gallery wrap with either 3/4" deep or 1 1/2" deep stretchers. Completed paintings are hand-finished with either a medium or high gloss UV resistant varnish. All commissions include a signed dedication and one paperwork prep in pastel, charcoal or watercolor. -James Ride Together (shown right) 2008
